This miso chicken pairs perfectly with warm rice or chopped in a bowl of miso soup.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half to make thinner.
  2. Mix miso in a small dish with a tablespoon of water, then rub on all sides of chicken breast.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a pan (I prefer to use a cast iron).
  4. Sear chicken on medium heat for 3-5 minutes on both sides.
  5. Lower temperature and let cook until thermometer reads 170 degrees Fahrenheit.

Notes

If you are soy intolerant, you can use a chickpea based miso made by South River Miso Company.
