Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce or aminos, garlic, and ginger. Add the beef and mix well. Let beef marinate at room temperature while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
  2. In a skillet add 1 tablespoon sesame oil, and caramelize onions and carrots over medium heat until the onions are translucent. Remove onions onto a plate. Once pan is heated again, add another tablespoon of sesame oil and add half of the beef in a single layer. Let it sear, stirring slightly until slightly pink in the center, 2-3 minutes. Removed beef to the plate of onions. Repeat with second half of beef.
  3. Once the remaining beef is seared, add the previously cooked beef and onions back into the pan. Then add the broccoli. Cover with a lid and let it steam while you prepare the next ingredients.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the broth and arrowroot powder. When the broccoli is cooked through, make a well in the center of the pan and slowly pour in the broth. Stirring for a few seconds between each addition to prevent clumping.
  5. When sauce is thickened, it is ready to serve.

Notes

Coconut aminos and soy sauce can be used interchangeably in a 1 to 1 ratio.
